JPAE – Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise
When is JPAE 2020?
The JPAE application date for 2020 is opened from 24 Feb 2020 to 28 Feb 2020, 4pm. Applications must be submitted by 28 Feb 4pm.
When will the JPAE Results be out?
The results will be out from 8 Apr 2020, 2pm. Successful applicants will receive instructions on how to accept the course offer.
Who Can Apply?
You can apply if you are
- Holders of relevant Higher Nitec / Industrial Technician Certificate (ITC) / Certificate in Business Studies (CBS)
- Holders of relevant Nitec/ National Technical Certificates (NTC) Grade 2
- Final semester graduating Higher Nitec students, including those from the Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)*
- Final semester graduating Nitec students
If you have enrolled in a polytechnic previously, you are advised to apply directly to the polytechnic instead of applying through JPAE.
How to Apply?
You will need to sign up a JPAE account and the following information:
- Your Residential Address and Contact Details
- Your Operationally-Ready Date if you are currently serving or have completed National Service
- Your ITE qualification, period of last ITE exams taken, if different from our records
- Your GCE โOโ Level Maths or ITE Bridging Maths grade, if you are applying for 2-year poly courses
- Your Previous FIN at ITE, if any
How Many Choices Can I Submit?
You can submit up to 8 courses in a single application.

Can I Use My CCA Points?
Bonus points will be deducted from the gross GPA before being ranked.

Can Bridging Mathematics (BM) Bonus Points Be Used?
0.1 Bonus point will be added to the net GPA (including CCA points) for students who scored 70 marks and above for BM 1 or passed BM 2 and applied for admission to Science & Technology (S&T) full-time diploma courses.
The BM bonus points are not taken into consideration in applying for a diploma course.
The bonus points will only be applied for ranking students who have applied for their S&T course choices.
